What's New for Video and Audio (April 2017) | Adobe Creative Cloud

What's new for Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018:

This year at IBC 2017, Jason Levine showed a number of features and updates coming to Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. The main theme for this update was time saving and this has been done in a number of ways.

Essential Graphics:

From within the Essential Graphics work space, it is now much easier to edit titles and graphics created in After Effects. Editors are now able to edit basic attributes of a graphic such as text and colours from directly inside Premiere Pro without having to go into After Effects

Responsive Title Design:

Another new feature coming to the Essential Graphics panel are the new Responsive Design tools. Adobe has basically taken the idea behind responsive web design and applied it to motion graphics in Premiere. The new tools allow the users to create titles that will automatically be adjusted to fit the length and size of a project.  This feature is great for editors who often re purpose the same video onto different survices such as publishing on YouTube, then re purposing that video to publish on to Instagram.

Responsive Title Design

 Type Tool:

The type tool has been completely re worked to math other Adobe apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator. The new type tool also allows users to quickly create basic titles directly in the program monitor and then save them to the essential graphics work space to come back to later

Essential Sound Workspace:

The focus behind the Essential Sound panel was creative intent instead of technical expertise. The new panel allows users to catagorise sound into categories such as Music, Dialogue, Foley etc. The panel also allows users to add basic effects such as compressors and eq's.

Sending to Adobe Audition is also quicker and easier than before!

Close Gaps:

This is a common user feature request. This feature is a new command to close all open gaps from within the timeline. To use the command, simply go to the sequence menu - followed by then pressing the "Close Gap" Button.

The user is also able to select a number of clips on the timeline and use the close gap command to snap all those clips together without affecting the rest of the sequence.

Multiple Open Projects

As it says, you can now have multiple open projects at once! This was another common requested feature which Adobe heard the demand for.

Label Colours:

First there where only 8 label colours. Well, now there are 16. You can also change any of the colours to a custom colour from the standard Adobe colour picker.
